This is a so-called Focus Free or Toy Camera, a Topico. It's a quite
common model which exists in different colours, also in fun colours with a
numbering in the 900s. It's a basic plastic camera with nearly no
features, if you do not count the "Happy Birthday" insert and the lens
protection slider.
Its
main features are:
Wide
angle plastic lens, focus free
Shutter
~ 1/100
Double exposure prevention, "Happy Birthday" insert, lens protection slider
Size 120 x 68 x 42, Weight 109 gr.
Camera closed.
Camera front. Protection slider open
Camera back. Viewer and film advance.
Camera top. Film rewind, film counter and shutter release.
Camera bottom. Rewind release, engages when pressed.
Film compartment. There is clear plastic cover over the film plane with a
"Happy Birthday" inscription that would appear on every photo.
Film plane
without cover. Note the curved film plane, it helps against the vignetting
of the simple plastic lens.
These
are
the ultimate basics of a camera, focus free, single shutter speed and
fixed aperture. Point and shoot only. If you choose the right film, ISO
400 in general and ISO 200 on very sunny days, you can shoot outside
photos that look OK. The rest will be "Lomo" style.
