Talking Garfield Party On! Focus Free Camera

This is a so-called Focus Free or Toy Camera, a simple plastic camera. It is sold by the Akica Company that sells different plastic cameras. This one is an official Garfield edition, the first of a planned series. I have not seen the others. When you push a button on the front, it plays 3 different sentences with the "official" Garfield voice, one at a push. For European ears the are hardly understandable. The sentences are: "Come on, look like you're having fun", "OK everyone! No smile, no cake and no ice cream!" and "Party on!".

Its main features are:

35mm wide angle plastic lens, focus free
Shutter ~ 1/100
Double Exposure Prevention, flash, talking chip
Size 130 x 75 x 43,  Weight 163 gr.

Camera front, closed.
Top: Viewer and flash, slider (closed, open, flash) and little button near the right edge plays the sound when pushed.

Camera front, open, flash on.

Camera back. Viewer, flash ready lamp, film advance and a tiny film presence window. Some paint wear.

Camera top. Film rewind, rewind release, film counter, shutter release.

Camera bottom. Battery compartment. Takes 2 AA batteries.

Film compartment. Slightly curved film plane, so there will be less vignetting of the simple plastic lens.

These are the ultimate basics of a disposable camera, focus free, single shutter speed and fixed aperture. Point and shoot only. Modern film is quite flexible and modern labs can adapt when scanning, so there will be acceptable results. This one is a must-have for Garfield collectors.
