This is a so-called Focus Free or Toy
Camera. It's a give-away from the Quick Restaurant chain in Belgium in
the 2000s and it resembles closely to the Holga Smart. It's most
probably prior to the Holga. Maybe a Chinese manufacturer re-used the
front for the Holga Smart. It's a basic plastic camera with no extra
features.
Its
main features are:
Wide
angle plastic lens ~28mm, focus free
Shutter
~ 1/100
Double exposure prevention
Size 102 x 65 x 30, Weight 78 gr.
Still in its clear plastic wrap-
A series of promotional toys was based on the popular Franco-Belgian
comic book and animated series Cédric. They were part of the Magic Box children's meals.
A camera, some stickers and even a manual.
Camera and basic strap.
Camera front.
Camera back. Viewer, film advance and an awkward rewind release device I have not seen before. And yes, a Quick sticker.
Camera top. Film rewind, counter and shutter release.
Camera bottom. Nothing to see.
Film compartment. Note
the curved film plane, it helps against the vignetting of the simple
plastic lens.
These
are the ultimate basics of a camera, focus free, single shutter speed
and fixed aperture. Point and shoot only. If you choose the right film,
ISO 400 in general and ISO 200 on very sunny days, you can shoot
outside photos that look OK. The rest will be "Lomo" style. This camera
is extremely rough. There is a risk that it rips the perforations, so I
did not try it.
